Eric has been around the world paying his dues and absorbing musical influences. From Africa , through Europe , to Australia and to the Mississippi Delta, Eric's singing and versatile guitar playing fuses a variety of genres to become New World Blues.
Born in New York 1951, Eric is the son of 1960's folk and musical singer Leon Bibb. His uncle was the world-renowned jazz pianist, John Lewis of the Modern Jazz Quartet, and his godfather was singer/activist Paul Robeson. His talent for both performing and song writing has been recognised with a Grammy Nomination and four W.C. Handy nominations. His songs have featured on major radio and TV shows and movies and he has played at many major festivals all over the world as well as releasing 5 albums. A performance by Eric Bibb is an enriching experience both musically and spiritually. Soulful and gospel infused folk blues.
